What We Did

NGK Sparkplug is the world’s largest manufacturer of spark plugs. Every year, over 100,000 people flock to Las Vegas to attend the largest auto show of its kind. NGK turned to Digital Events to provide a high visibility personalized giveaway. Hats are always a popular giveaway, but the challenge was not only to produce 2,500 hats per day, but the hats had to be black. Printing on white hats is very easy, however printing on black presented a few challenges. Digital Events had to pioneer a new process that would enable us to not only keep up with the demand, but to print white text on black hats that came out bright and vibrant.

NGK wanted us to print in 3 separate locations on each hat. Guests could pick from an assortment of different color logos for the front of the hat, then select from different white icons for the left side of the hat and lastly enter their name to be printed in white on the right side of the hat. From beginning to end, the hats were ready to wear in a couple minutes.
